We are adjusting to this mommy & daddy business, slowly but surely! Aiden is such a good baby. We are so lucky! The first month was jam packed with us learning the ropes of parenthood, which I know will be a never ending journey. Alex was able to take a couple of weeks off of work, beginning the day Aiden was born, which was incredible. It was so nice having him home to bond and help make the transition. When Aiden was about a week & 1/2, we made a trip to Oak Harbor to meet his Great Grandma, Ruiko. It was our first day trip and I was suprised at how smoothly it went! I over packed, of course, Alex drove, and Aiden's Grandma Gena went with us as well. We were able to visit a few of Alex's friends also, which was fun! We learned that our baby is not good birth control! Lots of people "want one!". Haha.
Soaking up a little sun in front of the window the first week

Hands taste yummy!

And this is the side that most people dont see... How is it possible that he is STILL so cute crying. Mom's going to have a tough time saying no, I think.

Dad's arms are comfy

Our little Monchichi

SO little

A smile caught at 2 weeks! This photo is a family favorite!

Meeting Great Grandma Ruiko for the first time

Outdoor photoshoot with mom

What a cute boy...

Aiden napping with "Big Toe", his Ugly Doll.

This is "Moxy", his other Ugly Doll. I think he loves them equally...

In his "little man" shirt

Tummy time!

I cant help but wonder what he thinks of me acting like a crazy woman to try to coax a smile out of him while behind the camera (usually his expressions say it all!)

His Auntie trying to steal him

But momma caught her in the act

Another picture, mom?"
It's tough being Aiden

All of the nice weather has been perfect for taking Aiden out! We took him to Gasworks Park in Seattle for a picnic to enjoy it.

With Daddy at the park

And with mommy...

It was so nice to relax in the shade

Aiden thought so too

After the park, we went downtown

I think this is one that only Mommy & Daddy will love. Poor baby, it was his first (and pretty much only, to date) time spitting up- It projected against my shoulder and got him back all over his face. Mommy was holding him out and couldnt stop herself from laughing while Daddy took photos- Poor kid.

Like father like son
